When Tamara Isham found out she was due in January of 2010, she said to herself, "I'm going to have the New Years baby!"
Fast forward to January 3, 2010, and there was no New Year's baby at Stephens Memorial Hospital, that is, until Peyton Lyn Isham Brooks arrived, fulfilling her mother's wish to have the first baby born at Stephens Memorial Hospital in the new year.
Parents Tamara Isham and Andrew Brooks of Bethel, welcomed Peyton with the help of Dr. Gregory Hardy and birthplace nurse Shannon Staples, RN. Peyton, graced with lots of dark hair, joined the world at 6 lbs, 14 oz and 21 inches and is truly a bundle of joy, mom happily reports that she delivered Peyton without the use of any pain medication.
As part of the celebration, Stephens Memorial Hospital presented baby Peyton and family with a basket of welcome gifts donated by area businesses including: the Advertiser Democrat, Ari's Pizza, Books N Things, Café Nomad, Curves, Flagship Cinemas, Key Bank, Littlefield Greenhouses, LT's Inc., Main Street Furniture, Maurice Restaurant, Mallard Mart, Cut Loose, Norway Savings Bank, Oxford Hannaford, PACE Paramedic Services, Perfect Stitch, Stephens Volunteer Services, Subway, Sun Journal and New Balance.
Happy New Year and Best Wishes Peyton!
