27th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting to be Held

At this time of year when many people in the area are busy preparing for the holiday season, the Stephens Memorial Volunteer Services is also very busy preparing for the 27th annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, which will signal the beginning of the holiday season in the community.  As always, this tradition will take place in front of Stephens Memorial Hospital.

The community is invited to attend the tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday, December 2nd at 5 pm.  Refreshments will be served.  The festivities will feature the Oxford Hills Chamber Singers under the direction of Dennis Boyd, Jr., Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Music Teacher.

Residents of the community can buy a commemorative tree light in memory or in honor of their special friends and loved ones.  The lights are $5 each and can be purchased through December 31st in the SMH coffee shop at the hospital or by sending cash or check to: Stephens Memorial Hospital Development Office 181 Main St.  Norway, ME  04268.
