Rogers Presents Books to WMH
Victoria Rogers, a 2009 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, recently presented Western Maine Health with an assortment of books for waiting rooms.
Rogers wanted to do something positive for the community as part of her Girl Scout project to earn the Gold Award, the highest award in scouting. She says, "Reading is awesome", and felt that the various waiting rooms throughout the Western Maine Health system would benefit from some additional reading material, so she coordinated the collection of books covering a wide range of ages.
Vicky is no stranger to volunteering. She shared her passion for reading as a volunteer for the afterschool program at the South Paris library, starting when she was in the 6th grade.
Rogers is currently preparing to attend college in Pennsylvania where she aspires to be an editor after she receives her degree.
