Longtime SMH Nursing Administrative Supervisor Retires

Western Maine Health Vice President of Clinical Services, M. Patricia Cook, RN, MBA, EdD, announced recently that longtime Nursing Administrative Supervisor, Donna Alexander, R.N., C.E.N., retired from Stephens Memorial Hospital on May 26th after nearly 20 years of service.  Donna was a night shift supervisor at the hospital during her tenure. 

Cook shares, "Donna has successfully dealt with a wide variety of people and issues unique to nights.  We will miss her, but appreciate her need for more sunshine, sleep, and fun."

A retirement tea was held in Donna's honor on Wednesday, May 27th at which her fellow employees stopped to wish her well.  Western Maine Health President and Chief Executive Officer Tim Churchill thanked Donna, "For 19 years of service at SMH.  I know that during my time here, I have slept better knowing you were on during the night shift."

Donna expressed her gratitude  to fellow staff, saying " I really appreciate the friendship through the years and feel honored to have been part of this team at a wonderful community hospital.  The community is lucky.  I have many great memories here."
