Talk with a health educator - MaineHealth Learning Resource Center

Learning Resource Center introduces Nordic Walking

The MaineHealth Learning Resource Center at Stephens Memorial Hospital (SMH) is beginning a Nordic Walking Program on June 17th from 10 - 11 am.

Walking will take place at the Gouin Athletic Field on Alpine St. South Paris and is free of charge.  Poles will be available for use.

Everyone can benefit from Nordic Walking because it fits easily into your routine.  Those who hate to exercise, are recuperating from illness or injury or older people learning to walk without the fear of falling can all benefit from Nordic Walking.

Nordic Walking is both a cardiovascular and muscle endurance mode of exercise.  Certified Nordic Walking Instructors Rita Myrick and Kathleen Carroll will introduce this fitness walk to you on the 17th.  Please join us.

The seminar is free of charge, however registration is required.  Please call Chriss at 743-1562 x289 to register.
