Western Maine Pediatrics Receives Immunization Award!

Western Maine Pediatrics was recently notified that they were one of only 10 out of 120 practices in Maine to receive a 90% or greater score as part of the Healthy Maine 2010 project to bring children up to age two up to date on their immunizations.  The Western Maine Pediatric group with Pediatricians Kathleen Herlihy, M.D., Danielle Tran, M.D., and Sam Adler, M.D. received 91%.

The process of recognizing practices achieving a 90% goal is part of the Maine Immunization Program's AFIX (Assessment, Feedback, Incentive, and Exchange) process that evaluated children between two and three years of age that were up to date on their DTap, Polio, MMR, and Hepatitis B immunizations.

Karen Gurney, Practice Manager states, "It is really an honor for Western Maine Pediatrics to be recognized for their success in educating families about the benefits of immunizations.  This is a commendation to the hard work of all the staff to put the plan of education into action."
