SMH Christmas Baby Comes
Brackett and Raymond Denbow of Norway welcomed their
daughter, Lillian Rayne on Christmas Day 2008.
Lillian arrived very quickly and very early, at 31 weeks
gestation. She was slightly over 3 lbs when she
was born 9 weeks early by emergent caesarean section
under the watchful eye and hands of Dr. Summermatter and
the Family Birthplace nurses.
was transferred from the Family Birthplace at Stephens
Memorial Hospital down to the Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit at Maine Medical Center for specialized care.
6 weeks later, she was able to go home. That was
February 6th, a Christmas miracle fulfilled.
Lillian is growing and is happily up to 8 lbs, 6 oz.
later on March 10th the couple brought Lillian in to
visit the nurses at the Family Birthplace and thank them
for their care. Courtney shares, "Dr. Summermatter
was great, and Kelly and Diane were great - they were
right there all the time. We want to thank SMH for
everything they did for us."
