MSHCC Unveils New Family Room

Philip DuBois, Administrator of Market Square Health Care Center recently unveiled the redesigned family room on the Tuttle (skilled) Unit at the facility.

The former family room on the Tuttle Unit was small and dark, so, the Management Team at Market Square, working from a recommendation from the resident council decided to make some changes.  The Council stated that they needed more room for gathering and relaxing, so the Maintenance staff at Market Square went to work.

The old space for family room became the nurses station and reception area, while the old nurses station was turned into the new family room.  The new space is much larger, brighter and more visible to residents.  The family room features seating for residents to visit with their families or each other, as well as a television, computer station, and a game table.

DuBois explains, "The new room is great for encouraging the spontaneous game of checkers between residents just walking by and is used far more than the previous room.  It's very sunny and bright, the residents love it."
The redesigned family room is just an addition to the multitude of features that make Market Square Health Care Center a family friendly place to call home.
