SMH Introduces new Nurse Anesthetist

Western Maine Health Senior Vice President of Clinical, M. Patricia Cook, RN, BSN, EdD and Kenneth Raessler, M.D., Chief of Anesthesia announced last week that Jayne Phillips, CRNA was hired as a new Nurse Anesthetist in the Anesthesia Department at Stephens Memorial Hospital.  She joins Kathy Newcomb, CRNA, and Pam Chadwick, CRNA.

Jayne grew up in the Oxford Hills and has many family and friends in the area.  She has moved back to Maine to be with her family after residing in Omaha, Nebraska for 20 years.  She is glad to be "home."  Jayne was joined in her move by 2 of her 3 children, Reid and Rachael.  Her son, Ian, will remain in Omaha to finish high school.

Jayne graduated with a BSN from University of Maine and received her CRNA certification at the Mercy Hospital School of Anesthesia.  She has worked as a CRNA for 24 years both in Maine and Nebraska.

The family has now settled into their home in South Paris.
