Jo Elliott, RN Attends Nurses Week
Tea at the Blaine House
Memorial Hospital registered nurse Jo Elliott will be
attending the Reception and Tea at the Blaine House in
Augusta May 7th that serves to recognize and honor
nurses during National Nurses Week.
Elliot has been
employed on the Medical/Surgical department at SMH for
three years. She attended nursing school at CMMC
School of Nursing, and is currently pursuing her bachelor
of science in nursing at USM. She recently
attained a Clinical Level III status. Jo was
nominated to attend the tea by her peers and nursing
managers for all of her involvement at the
hospital. Jo is a member of the Blood Glucose
Improvement Committee as well as several Nursing
Councils that are part of the Shared Governance System
recently adopted by nursing.
The theme of National
Nurses Week this year is "Nurses: Making a Difference
Everyday." The keynote speaker this year is Linda
Zimmerman, RN, COMNO President.
