MSHCC Appoints New Director of Residential Care and Performance Improvement

Philip C. DuBois, Administrator at Market Square Health Care Center (MSHCC) announced recently that Allyson Danforth, RN has recently been hired as Director of Residential Care and Performance Improvement. 

Allyson comes to this position, which is a combination of the position of Director of Residential Care and the newly added position of Performance Improvement, with over 11 years of health care experience within Western Maine Health.  She began as a CNA at Market Square, then at Stephens Memorial Hospital (SMH), and for the past 5 years has been a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical department at SMH.  Allyson earned her nursing degree at Central Maine Technical College.

Allyson is excited about her new position stating that, "Market Square has a wonderful environment for both the residents and the staff, and I am very happy to be a part of it"  "I look forward to the many challenges this position will bring"

Of Danforth's appointment, Philip DuBois says "Allyson has demonstrated leadership qualities that will serve her well in the Residential Care role, and a commitment to quality care that will serve her well in the Performance Improvement role.  The unique combination of qualifications that this combined role will require is met very well through Allyson's experience, skills, and character." 

Allyson lives in West Paris with her husband and 2 children.
