Plant Operations Retires
NORWAY, ME - Western Maine
Health President and CEO Timothy A. Churchill announced recently
that the face of the Engineering Department at Stephens Memorial Hospital, Larry
Harthorne, has retired after nearly 38
years of service.
At his retirement celebration of ice cream
sundaes, Mr. Churchill presented Larry with monetary gift, "which
serves as a token of appreciation for how much you have meant
to the organization". He wished him
luck in retirement.
More than 60 invited guests honored Larry several weeks
ago at the Four Seasons Conference Center with a
catered dinner which included a video presentation. Larry was presented with a
band saw to keep him busy
during his retirement.
Larry was hired as the
Director of Plant Operations November 3, 1969. While he
will miss SMH, Larry looks forward to relaxing in his retirement, saying
he is "going to give it
my best shot."
