SMH Patients & Staff Enjoy Lynn Harrison Exhibit

NORWAY, ME - Western Maine Health President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy Churchill has announced that Bridgton artist Lynn Harrison is currently exhibiting her work at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, a show which will remain through the end of June.

Lynn Harrison has been fascinated with photography since the age of 10, when she received her first camera, a Brownie Holiday Flash and began recording family events and childhood antics.  Later, Lynn began composing artistic images and adjusting the camera to alter the mood and aesthetics of photographs.  She eventually "discovered the magic of a photographic print emerging from a tray of darkroom developer, further peaking my technical and artistic interests."

Lynn grew up on the east coast and spent 25 years after college in the San Francisco Bay Area. Although inspired by the "beauty of far away places," the time she spent in Maine during her teenage years, and the Lakes Region that Lynn now calls home are the deepest influences in her work as she enjoys "the nature, tradition, and sense of timelessness" Maine exudes.

Mainly self taught, Lynn has attended many photography workshops through the years.  She exhibits at Gallery 302 in Bridgton, which she co-founded.

Stephens Volunteer Services works with local artists and artisans to provide year round exhibition at the hospital.
