PACE Honored by Moss Brook Church

NORWAY, ME - PACE Paramedic Service was honored recently with an award and back to back barbeque luncheons by the Moss Brook Church in honor of Emergency Medical Services week.

PACE Director Robert Hand was very pleased with the show of appreciation, particularly with notes of thanks written by the children of the congregation.  Church member Zak Wheeler presented a plaque to Hand reading "In appreciate for your community service to the Oxford Hills."

Stephens Memorial Hospital employee and member of Moss Brook Church, Sam Ray, helped coordinate the event stating that members of the church wanted to institute a program of thanking emergency response personnel in the area and this award to PACE, was the first in a series as a way of saying thank you and that it is "nice to have them in the community."  The idea came to fruition with two lunches served at the PACE headquarters in order to make it easier for them to attend.  Area businesses also donated door prizes that were given away to attendees.
