SMH Hires Volunteer Coordinator

NORWAY, ME - Western Maine Health President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy Churchill announced recently that Amy Kersteen of Norway has been hired as the Volunteer Coordinator for Stephens Memorial Hospital.

Most recently Amy served Sea Coast Management Company in Topsham as Assistant Development Manager.   She also worked for The Maine Island Trail Association for several years overseeing all volunteers including the Education and Outreach Managers' specialized training.  Amy brings her commitment and her managerial skills to WMH and will be working to develop the volunteer program.  Amy has a B.A. degree in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University.

In her new role Amy looks forward to "working alongside volunteers to accomplish collective goals," and will integrate all of the hospital volunteer programs.    Andrea Burns, WMH Trustee and former co-chair of Stephens Volunteer Services says, "We are fortunate to have Amy accept this position."

Amy grew up in Maine and enjoys all of the outdoor opportunities that Western Maine has to offer.
