Stephens Memorial Hospital Appoints new Director of Development & Community Relations

NORWAY, ME - Western Maine Health President and CEO Timothy A. Churchill announced recently that Barbara A. Allen has been appointed Director of Development and Community Relations for Stephens Community Healthcare Foundation and a member of the Senior Management team.  She will be responsible for providing leadership in various development and community relations initiatives.

Allen has been a member of Western Maine Healthcare since 1993 as the Director of Medical Affairs and Executive Assistant to the President.  During this time she has been building and maintaining relationships with physicians and their families as well as community members.
She has a solid knowledge of the importance of fundraising to Western Maine Health.  Churchill states, "We are confident that her experience and knowledge of Western Maine Health, her professionalism, and her commitment to the iCare philosophy will serve us well."

Prior to her arrival at WMH Allen worked at Oxford Homes, Inc. for 11 years.  She received a her Associates degree in Management from St. Joseph's College in Standish, Maine.

Allen will be assuming responsibilities for fundraising activities including the hospital annual fund, the development of a strong planned giving program and the solicitation of corporate and capital gifts as well as involvement in community relations activities.

Allen resides in Waterford, with her husband.
