McLaughlin appointed as Regional Executive to HFMA

Western Maine Health President and CEO, Timothy Churchill announced recently that Stephens Memorial Hospital employee Diana McLaughlin was selected as the Healthcare Foundation Management Association's (HFMA) Regional Executive for Region 1.

McLaughlin has been a member of the Western Maine Health family since 1993, working as the Controller in Accounting, focusing on finance, budgets, reimbursement, and accounting.  She has been a member of the HFMA since 1992, serving as the Maine chapter president in 2001-2002, and receiving the Member of the Year award for the Maine Chapter in 2002.  Nationally, McLaughlin is serving on the National PFS Forum Advisory Council thru 2006.

HFMA Regional Executives are selected to serve as the primary volunteer and policy links to HFMA Nationa to be involved with policymaking, monitoring chapter performance and assisting chapter leaders, as well as convening meetings and aiding in communication between HFMA National and the Chapters.  The HFMA is a membership organization comprised of members of healthcare financial executives and leaders, with a focus on meeting the challenges in a healthcare environment.

McLaughlin also volunteers for Kiwanis.  She lives in South Paris with her husband and 2 sons.
