Long Term SMH Medical Records Clerk Retires

Western Maine Health President and CEO Timothy A. Churchill announced recently that Bette MacDonald, long time clerk in the Medical Records Department at Stephens Memorial Hospital, has retired after 27 years of service.  Of the long term employee, Mr. Churchill said, "Bette's warm smile, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence exemplify the iCare standards.  She will be sorely missed".

Bette began working at the hospital on September 29, 1978 in Medical Records, and retired April 27, 2006.  Co-workers honored Bette on her last day with a brunch, gifts, and a surprise visit from her daughter who currently resides in Virginia.

While she will miss her fellow workers at SMH, Bette is anxious to start retirement and is planning to spend some time traveling with her husband, Dave.
