Ways I Can Help

2016 Annual Fund

For 59 years Stephens Memorial Hospital and friends like you have championed the need for quality healthcare in western Maine. From its humble beginnings to our current facility the staff at Stephens Memorial Hospital has been able to provide exceptional medical care because of the commitment of our staff and the generous financial support from our community.
In the past few years donations to Stephens Memorial Hospital from generous community members have allowed us to purchase much needed equipment, participate in the Maine Medical Center/Tufts Medical student program and provide funds to relocate and expand our cancer program. Community support has also allowed us to participate in the Maine Medical Center/Tufts Medical School program which we believe will bring new physicians to Maine. These have been important investments in delivering quality care to our patients.
As your local community hospital, we rely on the generous support of important friends like you to meet the hospital’s ongoing needs. Contributions to our Annual Fund are vital in ensuring that new technology and programs are funded. We know that you deserve and expect quality healthcare services, and we continue to work hard to deliver it. The staff of Stephens Memorial Hospital is here for you and your family. Your support will provide crucial funding to meet our community’s healthcare needs of everyone – regardless of their ability to pay.
Each year we treat more people from our community with cancer. This disease touches almost everyone. We know the impact that a cancer diagnosis has not only on the patient, but their family as well. Your gift to this year's annual fund will allow us to continue support of our Cancer Program and purchase a Philips vital signs monitor for our cancer patients in the Infusion Room.
Our day surgery patients will benefit from a refurbishment of the pre-surgical area, while their family members will enjoy an updated waiting room.
Equipment for the Operating Room including a small surgical instrument sterilizer and new instruments for hip surgeries is needed.
And, for new moms and babies, a new maternal fetal monitor and a neonatal code cart for babies in distress is on our list of needs for The Family Birthplace.
With your gift you will be investing with others who are committed to improving the health and well-being of family and friends in western Maine. Your support is important and does make a difference. Won’t you please consider a gift today? Thank you.
