Summary of Employee Benefits
Earned time is a combination of vacation, holiday, sick and personal days, and is used for all absences from scheduled work time. Earned time is accrued at a rate of .104 of an hour per paid hour worked, up to 40 hours per week. This benefit is prorated for part-time employees and the accrual rate increased based on the employee's length of employment. An employee working 40 hours per week earns approximately 27 days of earned time per year.

10% for 2nd shift
20% for 3rd shift
20% for weekends and holidays
$3.00 per hour bonus for working an unscheduled weekend or holiday shift (does not apply to per diem or salaried employees). The weekend/holiday is considered unscheduled if the employee is asked to work the weekend/holiday within 72 hours of the weekend/holiday.
Part- and full-time employees working at least 20 hours per week may purchase individual or dependent health coverage, effective on the 1st of the month following date of employment.
Part- and full-time employees working at least 20 hours per week may purchase individual or dependent dental coverage, effective on the 1st of the month following date of employment.
Patient Care Discount
Full-time employees are eligible to receive $600.00 credit per calendar year towards out-of-pocket expenses for inpatient/outpatient services received from the hospital. Part-time employees are eligible for $300.00 per calendar year. Any unused credit cannot be carried over to the next year.
Employees working at least 20 hours per week receive Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance paid for by the employer. The amount of the policy is equal to one year's annual salary. Supplemental and dependent insurance options are available at group rates, effective on the 1st of the month following date of employment.
Employees working at least 20 hours per week are enrolled in a long-term disability insurance plan. The premium for this coverage is paid in full by the employer and is effective on the 1st of the month following six months of employment.
Employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible to purchase short-term disability insurance, effective on the 1st of the month following six months of employment.
A retirement plan is provided for employees who work at least 20 hours per week. This is subject to terms and conditions.
