We believe that pregnancy and childbearing is a normal physiological event. All the prenatal testing, education and support we provide is to help women and their partners keep their pregnancies normal. All intervention is done to keep or return the pregnancy or birth to a normal event.
We believe that teaching and helping a woman to understand her body, the process of pregnancy, childbirth and how to nurture her newborn helps build strong, healthy bonds.
When an intervention must be made, we support a family in their adjustment and help them to focus on the next step of the process. Our goal is to help strengthen and reinforce families. We work in an environment of respect, caring and collaboration with one another and with other health care providers.
Opinions and ideas are welcome, as are efforts to promote research-based care. We work together to institute change, always keeping the patient our highest priority.
We believe the support and role-modeling a family sees during pregnancy and the birth experience can have a life-long effect. We endeavor to enhance their experience through education, role-modeling and by allowing the family to be in control of their birthing experience.
We believe in helping women to address health issues and the educational needs related to those issues. We endeavor to address the emotional needs of women experiencing loss and to give them the opportunity to work through their grief.
