LincolnHealth - St. Andrews Campus has a smoking cessation program designed to help people recognize the benefits of quitting smoking and to offer them the tools they need to be successful. The program, titled "Healthy Inspiration," is taught in four, one-hour sessions by cardiopulmonary manager Yvonne Stanton of LincolnHealth – St. Andrews Campus.
Stanton, a registered respiratory therapist, says the program is designed to help smokers realize the problems with smoking so they will possess the necessary skills to quit when they are ready. "Healthy Inspiration will help smokers identify whether they are smoking because of habit or addiction," she said. "Once they recognize that, a plan can be put into place more easily."
