Blood Pressure Screenings
Everybody has a blood pressure. Without some pressure in your blood vessels, your blood couldn't circulate through your body. Without circulating blood, your vital organs couldn't get the oxygen and food they need to keep working.
LincolnHealth - St. Andrews Campus offers free blood pressure screenings twice a month, on the second Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the administration building and on the last Tuesday of the month from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Boothbay Harbor YMCA. Appointments are not necessary for the blood pressure screenings.
Here at St. Andrews, we are committed to educating our community about these health issues. Stop by and visit one of our dedicated volunteers, you might learn something new! St. Andrews screenings can provide valuable educational information about blood pressure from organizations such as the American Heart Association.
This service was started and continues to be maintained by a group comprised of our extremely active auxiliary members and retired registered nurses, who have diligently worked at this program for almost 20 years.
