2012 Signs of Hope Celebrates Glickman Family Center for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Spring Harbor Hospital
On Wednesday, August 22, Spring Harbor Hospital held its annual fundraising event, Signs of Hope, at the home of Sheri and Joseph Boulos in Falmouth, Maine.
The event honored Albert and Judith Glickman of Cape Elizabeth and the fifth anniversary of the Glickman Family Center for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Spring Harbor Hospital. The Center was made possible through a $1 million gift from the Glickman’s in 2007 and includes Maine’s only inpatient treatment program for youth with both developmental disorders and mental illness.
As host of the event, Sheri Boulos, Trustee and Chair of the Development Committee for the hospital, said, “We are grateful for the Glickman leadership and generosity because of the real difference it is making in the lives of Maine children. Each year, hundreds of children and families benefit from the services of the Glickman Family Center for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Spring Harbor.”
Boulos also noted: “In addition to the Glickman’s wonderful support, Spring Harbor is on the receiving end of countless acts of generosity from individuals, foundations, businesses, and community groups and our annual Signs of Hope event is a wonderful way to thank our generous donors.”
Signs of Hope is presented exclusively for friends and supporters of Spring Harbor Hospital. In addition to supporting the professional development of the hospital’s clinical staff, proceeds from Signs of Hope are designated to community education to help lift the stigma that prevents thousands of people each day from seeking effective mental health treatment.
Spring Harbor is the hospital of choice for individuals throughout Maine who experience serious episodes of mental illness and co-occurring disorders. The hospital’s high-quality, individualized treatment offers renewed health and hope to nearly 3,000 Maine people each year, supporting their journey to recovery and a healthier life.
