Spring Harbor Hospital Welcomes New Board Members

(February 6, 2008)- The Spring Harbor Hospital Board of Trustees recently announced its newest members, all of whom completed their trustee orientation program last Friday at Spring Harbor’s treatment center in Westbrook:

Janis Cohen, Esq. of Standish is vice president and managing counsel of investments at Unum. Previously, Ms. Cohen was compliance director of the Maine Department of Behavioral and Developmental Services, and counsel to a Maine non-profit serving teachers, students, behavioral health staff, and people with disabilities. Ms. Cohen also has worked as a psychologist for the state’s Court Consultation Unit and the Kennebec Valley Mental Health Center, and as a juvenile officer for the Portland Police Department. A member of the Justice Action Group, Ms. Cohen also has served as a trustee of the Portland Public Library and as chair of the Maine Civil Legal Services Fund Commission. She holds two master’s degrees as well as a degree in law. She and her husband have two adult children.

Lisa Hook of Yarmouth has spent her 19-year career in commercial banking at Fleet Bank and now at Maine Bank & Trust, where she is a senior vice president and group manager of the Commercial Lending Division. She is active in the Risk Management Association’s Maine chapter and has volunteered for the United Way. A native of northern Maine, Hook and her husband have one son.

 

 

Nancy Hasenfus, MD, of Bath is medical director of Bath Internal Medicine and outgoing president of the Mid Coast Hospital Medical Staff. Dr. Hasenfus has spent her entire medical career in Maine, having completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Maine Medical Center. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Hasenfus holds an MA in Education and a Ph.D. in Psychology. Her husband, Robert Anderson, MD, is medical director of Kennebec Valley Mental Health Center in Augusta. The couple has two daughters.
