As a member of MaineHealth and the Maine Mental Health Partners Network, Spring Harbor provides the state’s most complete array of hospital and outpatient care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who experience mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Spring Harbor serves more hospital patients each year than any other freestanding psychiatric treatment facility in Maine, and our outpatient programs receive more than 70,000 visits annually.
A focus on children and adolescents makes ours the most comprehensive network of mental health treatment, medical research, and physician-training programs north of Boston. Our nonprofit mental health network features several first-in-the-state child and adolescent treatment programs, including our early intervention program for children and adolescents at risk for serious mental illness, and our Developmental Disorders inpatient program.
Spring Harbor’s compassionate, respectful care honors the dignity, privacy, and recovery needs of each person. A teaching hospital, Spring Harbor continuously enhances its services through both professional training and world-renowned medical research. Our expert staff includes psychiatrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, clinical social workers, occupational therapists, and psychiatric technicians who work as a team to ensure that patients receive the safest, most therapeutic treatment.
