Careers in Nursing at MMC 

Maine Medical Center is always seeking excellent nurses.  Although MMC  maintains a low vacancy rate for nursing positions, MMC continues to recruit qualified nurses.   A contemporary benefit package  is available to all nurses employed at MMC.  Our CNA course is offered three times a year.

Our orientation programs are tailored to meet the needs of nurses at any point in their career.   Internship programs are available for new graduates wishing to start their careers in critical-care, operating room and emergency nursing.  Experienced nurses receive an orientation that targets the areas that have been identified by the orientee at the start of orientation.  Each nursing department provides the resources and mentoring to make working at MMC a great experience. 

As the largest medical center in northern New England, MMC provides a wide range of clinical practice settings.   Nurses have traditional as well as very specialized work settings to choose from.
