Mary Jane Krebs Appointed to Shared Admininstrator Position
at Maine Mental Health Partners
CEO of Community Counseling Center and Administrative Director for
Outpatient Psychiatry Program at Maine Medical Center

Mary Jane Krebs, APRN, BC, has accepted a new shared administrator position within the Maine Mental Health Partners network. Effective September 6, Mary Jane will serve as CEO of Community Counseling Center (CCC) and Administrative Director for the Outpatient Psychiatry Program at Maine Medical Center. In this new position, Mary Jane will partner with staff of both organizations to realize the vision of better integrated care delivery and continuous improvement in treatment experiences, efficiencies, and outcomes for our patients in Cumberland County.

Mary Jane has served as Interim CEO of Community Counseling Center during the past year.  She has provided strong and thoughtful leadership during a time of unprecedented change and growth, including last year's major construction effort, the agency's relocation in April, and recent programmatic changes that will help assure greater, more convenient access to service for CCC's clients.

She has additionally championed several MMC projects and improvements in recent years, all focused on enhancing job satisfaction for staff and care experiences and outcomes for patients and families.  Among these efforts were the creation of a career development ladder for social workers and clinical counselors in the Department of Psychiatry, as well as complete renovations to the MMC psychiatric emergency department and the P-6 medical/psychiatric inpatient unit.

Mary Jane's 14 years as the Chief Clinical & Nursing Officer at SHH and her more recent role as Vice President of Nursing and Clinical Services at MMHP will continue to inform her work.  It will also fuel the vision for a stronger web of community-based and outpatient services in Cumberland County to help patients speed their recovery following an inpatient stay or avoid hospitalization altogether.
