Anchor Child ACT Program






Our Anchor Program (Assertive Comunity Treatment) offers intensive in-home and in-school family-based treatment to children and teens. The service is designed to help avert hospitalization or to provide a more intensive level of care than is available in traditional outpatient therapy. Anchor staff provides medication management, case management, community support, and vocational services, in addition to intensive individual and family treatment. Team clinicians also liaison with schools and other community mental health agencies. Prospective patients must live within a specific radius of the program to ensure optimal participation. Who We Serve:  We provide outpatient mental health and substance abuse services to children through age 18 who need treatment and:

  • Have an Axis I DSM-IV Diagnosis
  • Have MaineCare
  • Live in Cumberland County
  • Live within 15 miles of Anchor
  • Have a family member or guardian who is willing to have services in the home or where the child or teen lives.
