Peer Support Services (Social Groups)

Maine Behavioral Health offers its patients support from peers (individuals who have personal experience with similar issues) through the following venues: Social Clubs are drop-in centers offering support, learning opportunities and recreational activities for anyone coping with behavioral health issues.

RedLeaf50px.gif New Directions Peer Support Center

The New Directions Peer Support Center in Saco is a drop-in center for people suffering from emotional or psychological distress but don't feel the need to call crisis centers or go to the hospital Emergency Room. The Center is staffed exclusively by volunteers who are trained and certified by the Department of Health and Human Services.
