Lincoln County Healthcare Diabetes Educators

offer training, counseling and support to people who have been diagnosed with diabetes. Our certified diabetes educators work with each person to help them understand how to control diabetes and enjoy the best possible quality of life



Our Diabetes Self-Management Program

offers individual or small group sessions covering a wide range of topics including:


  • Healthy food choices and meal planning
  • Incorporating physical activity into lifestyle
  • Diabetes medication options
  • Using blood glucose monitoring to improve control of blood sugar
  • Staying healthy by preventing and detecting complications
  • Goal setting to promote health and problem solving for daily living

The Pre-Diabetes Program

helps people who have higher-than-normal blood sugar levels learn how they can delay or even prevent the onset of diabetes. Call to find out when the next class is scheduled. 

The Diabetes Support Group

meets monthly to share experiences and the latest information about diabetes and to send the message that no one is alone in coping with diabetes. There is no cost for this program.
