The Miles Memorial Hospital League was formed in 1930 as the Women's Auxiliary for Lincoln Memorial Hospital (the original hospital in Damariscotta). In 1941, when Miles Memorial Hospital was built, the group became officially known as the Miles Memorial Hospital League. The original focus for the League remains the same reason we are here today: to provide financial support and service time to our community health care center: Miles Memorial Hospital, Coves Edge Long-Term Care, Chase Point Assisted Living and related entities.
What began with twenty-five women in 1930 has grown to more than 350 women and men. MMHL members support Miles through volunteering and fundraising. Since 1998, the MMHL has raised about $1,000,000 for the hospital and related facilities.
