PORTLAND, MAINE – February 7, 2014 – This week the Boards of Trustees of MaineHealth and HomeHealth Visiting Nurses (HHVN) approved the appointment of Donna DeBlois, RN, BSW, MBA, MSB, as President and CEO of HomeHealth Visiting Nurses. DeBlois has served as interim President and CEO since October 2013. The HHVN Board of Trustees search committee worked with an independent firm to undertake a national search for the permanent candidate.
Judith Stone, HHVN Board Chair and Chair of the search committee stated, “After an extensive search, the Board clearly expressed confidence and enthusiasm for Donna’s leadership abilities, her engagement with staff, and the visionary path she has set forth for HomeHealth Visiting Nurses.
DeBlois brings more than 30 years of experience in the home health field to her new position, and the majority of her experience has been with Maine companies. Prior to taking on the interim CEO role at HHVN, she served as executive director of Kno-Wal-Lin Homecare and vice president of Community Health for Pen Bay Healthcare.
Active in both the community and her profession, DeBlois has held leadership positions with numerous organizations, including Homecare and Hospice Alliance of Maine, OMNE Nursing Leaders of Maine and the Board of the National Association for Homecare and Hospice. She has served in leadership positions with industry associations both on a state and national level. She earned her MBA and MSB degrees from Husson College in Bangor, her BSW from the University of Maine and her nursing degree from CMMC School of Nursing.
