National Health Care Reform

The Federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). In 2010 the federal government passed legislation to expand and improve health care coverage. There are many changes coming over the next few years, but how does the ACA impact you. Click here to find out more.

This video from the Kaiser Family Foundation gives a good overview of changes that are coming soon.

The CarePartners and MedAccess Programs are working with programs across the state and the Maine Health Access Foundation to provide answers to patients and providers questions about health reform.  One of the groups, Legal Services for the Elderly, provides high quality free information for anyone with questions. If you would like to speak with a person instead of using the website, their Helpline number is 800-750-5353.
