Clinical Integration - Tobacco

Welcome to MaineHealth's Tobacco-Free Initiative.

Tobacco addiction among members of the MaineHealth family is a serious problem. It's time we helped.

In 2000, MaineHealth decided to take on tobacco through a system-wide initiative. We are working with our members and affiliates to create an impact on four main objectives:

  • Awareness
  • Treatment
  • Training
  • Policy

Please see our action plan under the clinical tools link for more information about our tobacco-free initiative.

Tobacco Training Opportunities
Are you in a position to deliver messages to tobacco users in Maine? We offer tobacco intervention basic-skills training, and new training sessions start in fall, 2009. Check back with us later in the year for more information.
