Integrative Medicine physicians at Maine Medical Center offer services that draw from both conventional and complementary medicine. Dedicated to healing-oriented medicine, we address the mind, body and spirit to help you achieve your optimal wellness. Our focus is on using less invasive therapies designed to treat the person, not just the disease.
We specialize in creating integrative treatment plans for patients with a range of chronic medical conditions as well as offering preventive care that is informed by evidence for safety and efficacy. Approaches may include:
Dietary supplements and herbal medicines
Mind body therapies
Osteopathic Manual Medicine
and Referrals to trusted Complementary Medicine Providers.
Craig Schneider, MD and Ted Wissink, MD are two of our physicians, board-certified in Family Medicine and Fellowship trained in Integrative Medicine. They each work with Family Medicine Residents, Integrative Family Medicine Fellows and a wide variety of Complementary and Alternative Medicine Practitioners in the community.
